The little cute pink number
To start off my first blog post I chose this outfit because its near and dear to my heart (yes I do have love/hate relationships with my clothes and accessories and when I'm mad at them I fantasize about other clothes I see in shops).
A couple of years ago I was lucky enough to travel with my family to Istanbul,Turkey.
To my luck there was an economic slump in Turkey the exchange rate was ridiculously low and to boost sales there was a country wide discountt of 70% on textiles. Needless to say I went berserk shopping my poor mom’s knees paid the price.

My favorite shopping spot was not the malls but İstiklal Avenue which is the equivalent of a closed off high street in the UK only an old tram travels up and down it.
With its quaint little shops that sell chocolate bars by the pounds and its simit stalls the weather was perfect the shops ranged from international Zara and Benetton to local clothes my favourite was LC Waikiki which is a local Turkish brand where I got this pretty skirt from. It is a very light weight cotton that doesn’t need ironing. I also picked out this shirt which is every veiled girl's dream it's long sleeved but part cotton shirt to keep u cool in summer , I’ve seen look alike tshirt-shirts at Promod, the French retailer but making them is fairly easy so a DIY post is soon to come.
The scarf I am wearing is an off-white scarf from Promod with my heart still in Turkey I've recently started wearing Turkish style hijabs and this scarf is wrapped Turkish style. After wrapping the rest of the scarf around my neck I keep it in place with flower brooches like the one in the picture; practical and pretty.
